The Lanier Child Passenger Safety Task Force, made up of representatives from Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County, the Gainesville Police Department, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the Forsyth County Fire Department and the Northeast Georgia Rural Roads Initiative hosted a four-day child passenger safety technician certification class for the Georgia State Patrol in Gainesville. Twenty state troopers from five posts in Northeast Georgia attended the class to become CPSTs.

Safe Kids Fulton County hosted an historic event June 30, 2008 at the South Fulton Health Center. Daochi Tran instructed eight Vietnamese families on proper car seat usage and installation during the first car seat class taught completely in Vietnamese.
