May 2: Child Safety Seat Class presented by Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County

Every first Wednesday of the month (except January and July), a child safety seat class is held for expectant mothers and families. The class is free but registration is required.

     Location: Essentially for Women Building, 825 Jesse Jewell Pkwy, Gainesville, GA

May 19 : Safe Sitter Class presented by Safe Kids East Central.
This nationally recognized and award-winning curriculum teaches 11 to 13 year-olds how to handle emergencies while caring for younger children. To successfully complete the Safe Sitter program, participants have to pass a rigorous practical and written test to show that they have mastered the key concepts and have the skills necessary to handle any emergency.

May 22: Growing Up for Girls presented by Safe Kids East Central
A quarterly program for preteen girls (ages 8-12) and their female role models, focusing on the changes that a young girl experiences as she goes through puberty. Program is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Location: MCG Children’s Medical Center, Conference Center, First Floor
